Tasos Apostolou
He studied classical song with Franciscos Voutsinos. He continued under an “Alexandros S. Onassis” scholarship with M. L. Cioni and R. Negri in Milan, Italy, where he won an international competition.
He is a graduate of the “Veakis” Drama School. He took acting and directing lessons and seminars with L. Ronconi at the Piccolo Teatro of Milan.
He also studied Political Science at the University of Athens.
He has sung, among others, in productions by the National Opera, the Athens Music Hall, the Thessaloniki Opera, the U.N. in New York (for its 61-year anniversary), as well for the Lincoln Center in Boston, the opening of the new library at Alexandria (Egypt), in Basel (Switzerland), Milano (Italy), Qatar, as well as for various productions of the Athens State Orchestra, the Orchestra of Colours, the Thessaloniki State Orchestra, the Greek Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Municipality of Athens Orchestra, the Athens Chamber Opera, the University of Thessaloniki orchestra, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, at the Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens (Stegi), the Herodion, Delphi, the Athens and Syros festivals, and others. He has collaborated in concerts, first performances, recordings with important Greek composers. He has played leading roles in ancient and contemporary theatrical performances of the National Theatre, the Theatre of Art etc. in Epidaurus, Herodion and elsewhere, as well as participated in films and television (T. Angelopoulos, L. Xanthopoulos and others). He has also directed various plays himself.
