Margarita Syngeniotou
Margarita Syngeniotou, was born in Athens. She studied piano, fugue and singing (under K. Papalexopoulou).
She has appeared as a soloist with the Greek National Opera in many productions, covering a large variety of styles, from baroque to contemporary. She was a permanent member of the Alternative Stage of the National Opera since its conception.
She has also been a permanent member of the Hellenic Group of Contemporary Music, performing works by Greek and international composers, many of them for the first time or even written especially for her.
She has often worked with the Athens Music Hall, the Camerata Orchestra, the Orchestra of Colours, the National Radio & Television (ERT) Symphonic Orchestra, the Ergon Ensemble, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, the Delphi and Aix-en-Provence festivals, and others.
She has appeared in many towns around Greece and abroad (USA, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Cyprus, etc) in places such as Carnegie Hall, the Munich Academy of Arts, etc.
She has recorded various works by Greek and international composers for albums as well as Greek radio and television.
She teaches monody at the “Musical Horizons » conservatory in Athens.
